How long do the batteries last?
Lutron rates Triathlon shades at 3–5 years of battery life with typical use (moving twice a day). When it’s finally time, changing batteries takes a couple of minutes.
Do I need a whole smart-home system?
No. Shades work out of the box with a simple Pico remote. If you want phone, voice, and scheduling control, we add a small Lutron hub — and they tie into Caséta or RadioRA lighting if you have it.
